Jari Sillanpää is finnish very popular artist who became famous at 1995 after winning classic ”tango king” title at annual ”Seinäjoen Tangomarkkinat” (Seinäjoki tango market) happening.

Sillanpää is great singer and performer (or maybe I should say was). He have (or atleast had) the charisma and he have always been very sympathetic. No wonder he got that big popularity, specially from women fans. It didn’t matter even he’s gay which I think everybody knew right away (even media didn’t talk about that).

Last year Sillanpää got first time busted with meth and now while ago it happend again when he came back at holiday from Thailand.

He was interviewed at Thursday on the talk show and his talk was mainly quite unclear and transmissioning to irrelevant details. That was odd and confusing interview (watch one short clip of that below where he starts to cry).

Now some of his gigs have been cancelled and though he said he have always done his job well and never performed intoxicated, some fans said that’s not true. Some said he have been unclear at his one gig last year. I don’t know anything about that but after seeing that interview I don’t doubt it.

It’s sad thing to see that someone so talented lost his grip of life and destroys his selves. I just wish he realise to get help soon but it didn’t sound like that. He just said at the interview: ”No one can help me”. So he’s not bottom enough to get help. He still clearly thinks he can choose weather he like to use or not. The only thing he was embarrassed was when he did drive car intoxicated (last autumn).

Otherwise using drugs he didn’t want to apologise (when it was asked) which was interesting choice even I do understand his point. He said he takes responsible for what he did and he don’t see that he’s done anything to anyone. It’s just he’s choice. Right, it surely is…but even if he’s not responsible for his fans, he should be responsible for his selves (like he kind of said) and do something.

I did just read that Sillanpää have also horton’s neuralgia disease which is even harder head ache disease than migraine. Also I have read that the death of his mother have been made him depressed. He said these are one of the reasons he started to use meth. He couldn’t drink because of he’s sickness so I think that’s why he chanced the alcohol to drugs. I do understand but I also hope he gets the help he really needs or this can be the end of his career.
