Summer (and a bit of early autumn) photos to brighten your day as the darkness of autumn crept in so stealthily again…

These unparalleled flower arrangements were found in the center of Helsinki when I visited there some time ago.

Those mushrooms grew nearby our home when autumn was just beginning. I’m not very familiar with mushrooms, so I don’t know what kind they are, but that beautiful light-capped mushroom grew on our steps, in front of the door. It was like a decoration.

This is likely some kind of peony, which is one of my favorite flowers.

I don’t know what flower this is, but I came across it during a summer walk. It’s really beautiful in color!

I don’t recognize this one either, but I found it nearby. It’s beautiful as well!

All sorts of animal friends sometimes visit our bush like this snail which I photographed from our kitchen window.
